Frequently Asked Questions

Generally, a permit is required for trees over 3m in height or with a trunk diameter over 75mm. However, exemptions exist for trees within 3m of an approved structure or species on the "exempt" list. We can help identify if your tree requires a Private Tree Works Application.

Yes, Xylem delivers high quality impact assessments in alignment with AS4970-2025, Protection of Trees on Development Sites, to ensure compliance with local government requirements. 

Yes, Xylem Arboriculture provides an AQF5 Climbing Arborist to undertake aerial inspections, root mapping, soil testing & other diagnostic assessment methods.

A consulting arborist is qualified to a minimum AQF5 qualification. Consulting arborists are able to identify complex issues, perform tree risk assessments & provide advice/reports to deliver to relevant parties, including local government, commercial & residential sectors. 

An AQF3 arborist is a trade level worker who undertakes tree pruning, tree removals & stump grinding services.
